For L’Arsenal, the adventure started in 1996 with the release of the first two 1/400 models, the Aviso A-69 and the famous Flower Class Corvette. The idea was to offer to the modelers continuity to the Heller range of ships that made their delights until the late 70’s. A full range of accessories followed in the same scale, then, at the request of international modelers two more lines were created in 1/350 and 1/700 scales. Last addition to the catalogue, a new brand, L’Arsenal-Aero designs and produces 1/48 and 1/72 accessories, mostly modern aircraft weaponry, like bombs, reconnaissance pods, pylons, etc… In the beginning, master patterns were designed the old way, with the use of plastic sheet, putty, some modelling skills, with the hope that all would go well, and that the final result would compare accurately with the original! Today, all kits are designed with the help of the best CAD softwares and information. Prototyping is done by 3D printers guarantying an accurate reproduction of the reality.
